The Public Housing and Urban Regeneration Research Programme held its third annual knowledge exchange workshop in July 2024. The workshop brought together our housing provider research partners and Community Housing Aotearoa to discuss the latest research findings in the Programme.
We covered a wide range of topics from the impacts of the transition from emergency housing to public housing, the Pukehinau kai community gardens to embodied carbon and life-cycle analysis in community housing.
The panel discussion with the housing providers focusing on tenant wellbeing and enabled us to share common synergies and learning, and ensure that we continue to do research that is of value to the housing sector. The next workshop is planned for mid-2025.
