Jean is an urban studies researcher at Opus Research.
Jean previously worked as a research assistant on the ACTIVE study, a project that evaluates the effectiveness of the Model Communities Programme. This programme was funded by the NZ Transport Agency to lift walking and cycling in Hastings and New Plymouth and potentially provide an exemplar of investment in effective active travel programmes in New Zealand.
Jean did a Masters in Environmental Studies at Victoria University of Wellington. Her thesis assesses the extent to which reallocation of road space from on-street public car parking to a cycle lane is warranted between Wellington’s waterfront and southern suburbs.
