“Changes in Young People’s Mobility Patterns”
The Institute for Mobility Research, a research facility of BMW Group, deals on an interdisciplinary basis with mobility in a broad sense. The aim is to identify future challenges for mobility in the context of all modes of transport.
Project Outline: Indications of changes in the mobility behavior of young people have been identified in various highly developed economies, e.g. Japan, US, Great Britain, Finland, Norway, Germany. Are there indications for breaks in longterm mobility patterns? Which countries are following the long-term paths?
Data: National and international travel and transport statistics.
Target Group: Research institutes in the field of transportation and mobility research, experience in handling primary data.
