Urbanisation & health: Sharon Friel & Sue Bidrose video

Where people live affects their health and chances of leading flourishing lives. Urban settlements are now the dominant mode of living. Addressing the urban environment, therefore, poses a major opportunity through which to have major positive impact on national and global health equity.

This seminar was held at the University of Otago, Wellington, on 18 August 2009. Dr Sharon Friel, Director of the Global Health Equity Group in the International Institute for Society and Health, University College London, presented along with Dr Sue Bidrose, Director Community Wellbeing at Waitakere City Council.
